There is a new movie coming out this summer called “Year One.” Two villagers from a primitive tribe are banished from the other villagers and they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world. They come in contact with many different Biblical characters and the movie tries to portray them in a comical way…this isn’t an advertisement for the movie, just an introduction to the title of my first blog :::drum roll please::: seconds go by…audience waiting in anticipation… announcement is made… and the title is “Blog One.” I tried to make it visually understandable…I’ll try harder next time…now to the focus of the blog…
The work I’m involved in occupies a lot of strength, mentally and physically. I work and treat individuals who have serious illnesses. Some times it feels as if the work is too immense to cope with; but the fulfillment I receive the people I meet is priceless. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, all of them having a unique story to tell and the majority of them are seeking a cure.
Did you know that God hurts when you are going through pain, did you know that he smiles when you achieve something great, and did you ever stop to think that he loves you even when you spite him. God considers your life priceless, and because he loves you so much, he sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to exemplify the life we should live out on this temporary residence we are on called earth.
Jesus Christ died for you, for your wrongdoing, and for your life. By this occurrence your sins have been washed away and forgiven only if you accept and believe in him. When Jesus rose and came back to life, he proved to all of his doubters that he was truly the Son of God. There were more than 500 accounts of people that witnessed his resurrection, besides the people who he was closest too. Believing in Jesus is an act of faith, an act of faith that will change your future completely.
It is important to establish a relationship in Jesus because your soul unknowingly desires it. You see, you may be caught up in this life and never have a chance to wonder, what am I here for? You are here because God thought about you, he knew how and when you would be born, he knew the things that would happen to you throughout this life, and he gave you a free will to do whatever you desired to do. God loves you this much that he would not force you to do anything you would not decide to do, but he desires for you to seek him, and when you seek him, you will find him, and when you find him, you will find Jesus Christ.
When you believe in everything Jesus Christ did for you, you are making a significant life changing decision that will benefit you with eternal life once you leave this world. Your life will be forever changed because of this magnificent decision. The next step after this life-changing decision is to get plugged into a Bible-believing church that promotes connecting to God, connecting to others in fellowship, connecting to a ministry where God can use your talents (and trust me, there are many, you just have to tap into them), and connect to the world. These are the things that will make your life complete. These are things that will cure the itch in your soul that undoubtedly desires something more, something significant, and something life-changing.
